# Vitrine data

What each field means, how trend status is decided, and how fresh the data is.

## Fields

- `id`: stable identifier. Not sequential.
- `title`, `brand`, `category` (fashion, accessories, interior), `subcategory`
- `price`, `currency`: the retailer's listed price when last checked
- `availability`: in_stock, low_stock, preorder or out_of_stock, when last checked
- `tier`: luxury_anchor, trend_brand, streetwear, sneakers, resale_vintage or accessories_interior
- `condition`: for pre-owned pieces only (excellent, very_good, good, fair)
- `style_tags`, `silhouette`, `occasion_tags`, `season`, `description`: Vitrine's descriptive layer
- `trend_status`, `trend_score` (0 to 100): see below. Keyed access only.
- `why`: one sentence on why this result matches the query and taste profile. Keyed access only.
- `outbound_url`: a redirect that counts the click, then goes to the retailer
- `image_url`: carries a short per-caller token

## Trend status

- **Hot**: high score, confirmed by at least one hard signal (money spent: sell-outs, resale premium, agent clicks)
- **Rising**: strong momentum from soft signals (social, search, editorial), not yet confirmed
- **Steady**: stable demand, low momentum
- **Fading**: score falling for two or more consecutive checks

Soft signals alone can make an item rising, never hot. Changes proposed by automated sources wait for a person to approve them. Reviewer decisions raise or lower each source's weight.

## Freshness

- Each item carries `last_checked_at` (price and stock) and `updated_at` (any change).
- Hot items and drops are checked most often, steady items less often. Items not verified within their window will be marked stale and ranked lower.
- Trending data last updated: 2026-11-05T01:56:27+00:00

## Known gaps

The index is small and trend-led. Recent searches that returned few results:

- None recorded yet.

## Current state

This is a preview with a hand-curated catalog. 17 pieces link to their exact product page and show the brand's or retailer's own main photo, with prices checked on 4 November 2026. Prices from non-US shops are converted to USD at indicative rates; the linked page shows the real local price. Other pieces link to the brand's home page, show illustrative prices and use drawn placeholders until live feeds are connected. Trend scores are editorial estimates.
